Artifact Armor is the set of armor which provides each job with its classic "Final Fantasy" wait. In addition, Artifact Armor increases the stats and abilities that are typically seen as definitive to that job. Each prepare is unique to each chore, and are obtainable only through a series of job-specific quests.
The kickoff piece of Artifact Equipment is the Artifact Weapon, which is obtainable at level 40. The remaining pieces of Artifact Equipment are armor pieces for the head, body, hands, legs and feet, and are obtainable at level 50, and equippable throughout levels l-60.
For original Final Fantasy XI and Rising of the Zilart jobs, four of the pieces are obtained through quests, and two of the pieces are obtained though Treasure Coffers. For Treasures of Aht Urhgan and Wings of the Goddess jobs, two of the pieces are obtained through quests, and the remaining 3 are obtained by trading materials to specific NPCs: four of the 5 trade crafting items equally in a normal synthesis, while Scholar "trades" fundamental items obtained in specific zones.

Artifact Armor Quests
Artifact Weapon
The Antiquity Weapon is obtained via a quest. You lot must exist at least level 40 in the relevant task to activate this quest. The last piece of Artifact Armor is obtained via a quest. Upgrading Artifact Armor
Artifact Armor can be upgraded to three college tiers. The 2nd tier, Artifact Armor +1, can be obtained from Sagheera in Port Jeuno (J-8) about the Windurst Dock. She will offer to repair your worn Artifact Armor and make it all shiny and new. To practise then, you volition need to bring her your artifact armor, some ingredients dropped from Limbus and a crafted item. In addition, she will charge you a fee for her services in Ancient Beastcoins.
To Sagheera's left is Monisette, a similar NPC that further upgrades armor in exchange for Rem'south Tale Chapters and two craft items. She can upgrade either a base Artifact slice or a +1 into Item Level 109 Reforged Artifact Armor, and so upgrade that piece further to Item Level 119 Reforged Antiquity Armor +1.
Re-acquiring Pieces
If you need to re-acquire a piece you threw away or upgraded to Artifact Armor +1, Particular Level 109, or Particular Level 119, you tin can echo the artifact quests by talking to Vingijard in Lower Jeuno.
